After posting a few highlights from Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends report, I keep coming back to this chart.

US adults now spend 5.9 hours a day on-line.

This will soon overtake sleep.

And it doesn’t register today’s youth that has grown up in the digital age.

Just like any other activity, we must practice self-control and block out periods of time with no interuption and dopamine hit.

This is called Deep Work and it must be scheduled, especially since we are in a Knowledge Economy.

True a portion of this time is engaged in work-related activities but be honest, how many times do you find yourself just ‘checking-in’ on social media only to find yourself down a rabbit hole.
